Because of the thoughtful yet quick turnaround of production responsibilities, there is no outside funding for LIFE IS LIVING this year so we are going back to basics. Bring your own blanket/chair and beverage and snacks and pull up on the grass in front of the single event stage for our live DJ, poetry, free breakfast bags, voter registration, and community talk back.

Enjoy Lil Bobby Hutton / DeFremery Park and all it has to offer: historical Black Panther displays in the blue house, softball, playground, tennis, pool, and wide open areas to self-organize outdoor games. No schedule just hanging out together.

We’ll also have opportunities for you to give input on how we rebuild LiL together for years to come. We ask, “How can the legacy of LIFE IS LIVING serve the future of our Oakland community?”

*COVID Safety: Please rest at home if you are experiencing any symptoms. We ask that folks wear a mask when indoors. Let us know if you have any questions. Let’s take good care of one another.
